Valley Buick GMC in Apple Valley, MN was the original dealership from which Bernie Wagnild and Jim Paul grew the Valley Automotive Group 25 years ago. They started with a simple concept…None of the games that were commonplace in the industry at the time.
This way of doing business and a “tell it like it is” marketing campaign did not endear them to their competitors, but customers seemed to love it. It still works today. With this approach the organization has grown to 5 stores. Valley Buick GMC of Hastings, Valley Chevrolet Buick in Hutchinson, Valley Chevrolet of Hastings and Valley All Brands. All Brands stores in Waconia all embrace the same straight-forward principles as the original Apple Valley operation.
If you have been a Twin Cities resident for a number of years, you might remember them as “Valley Olds” or “Valley Pontiac”. While those brands are dearly missed, it should be noted that most of those customers have chosen to stay with the Valley brand even though their vehicle brand went away. The stores just feel like home to them. Many employees have been with the organization since the beginning, as well.
Valley does all the things most dealerships do: new and used cars and trucks, service, parts and full body work… they just seem to be a little better! While we have modern, attractive facilities in convenient locations, it’s really our attitude toward the customer that has set us apart for over a quarter of a century.
